Job Description

Summary/Objective

  • The primary purpose of a production worker is to aid in the production, packaging, and shipment of paint applicator products.

Essential Functions

  • Operate and maintain equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assure quality standards are being met by inspecting work in process and finished product.
  • Communicate issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines for production and handling of materials.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a clean, well lit, light industrial workplace. Repetitive work is required in the production and packaging of paint applicator products.

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking, and sitting are required throughout each shift.
  • This position will require some lifting, carrying, and pushing.
  • Reaching and lifting at heights above shoulder and below waist may be needed.
  • Close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus to determine part quality are needed.
  • Speaking and hearing are necessary for communicating with others.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are listed below:

  • 2nd Shift
    • Monday through Friday
    • 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
    • Overtime will be scheduled as needed
  • 3rd Shift
    • Sunday night through Friday morning
    • 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
    • Overtime will be scheduled as needed

Skill Requirements

  • Problem Solving – Required to determine minor issues with machinery and resolve them.
  • Analytical Ability – Understand basic math skills to complete required paperwork.
  • Communication Proficiency – Good communication required with supervision and coworkers about job status, machine status, quality issues, production efficiency, etc.
  • Dexterity – Handling and assembling parts, products, and materials for production, packaging, and shipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Must be a team player and work cooperatively with others with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
